I got to stay at Buckingham Palace for CBS This Morning today! They had the palace closed off to the public, so only the media and workers and guards could be in there. The Royal Band was doing some sort of rehearsal or something, and they marched through about 20 times. Each time, the group got bigger and bigger. First it was just the band, next time the guys with the guns joined them, then they got bagpipers, and then people on horses joined in. It was pretty cool to watch, and we had a great view on our little media stage!
I wasn't sent away, so I watched them broadcast the morning show! That was fun, but a little bit chilly. Unfortunately, the Queen was away at the Epsom Derby so she wasn't home.
I think the best part was that they provided food for us. Not the cheap kind either, high quality sandwiches and a lot of chocolate.
